The Compulsive and Problem Gamblers Society brings gambling-harm awareness and education to communities in Nova Scotia.
We want young people and families to feel comfortable asking questions, and people struggling with gambling to know they are not alone.
For young people
Understanding how habits, emotions and choices connect, recognising concerning patterns, and asking for support early.
For families
Opening compassionate conversations about gambling, risk and the impact on people we care about.
For schools and community organisations
Exploring gambling-harm education through lived experience and an educational perspective.

COO, Content Advisor
Carey Murphy is the Executive Director and brings lived experience of gambling and recovery.
Dr. Christine Sauer brings her background as a German-trained physician, retired from clinical practice, and her experience as an educator in depression recovery and mental health issues and a #1 bestelling author and TEDx speaker based in Nova Scotia.
Together, they are developing educational conversations for schools, community groups and organisations interested in preventing gambling harm.
Would your school or organisation like to discuss an educational presentation? We would welcome hearing from you.
